MEET OUR PASTOR

Rev. C.K. Washburn

Senior Pastor

Rev. C. K. Washburn is a native of Cleveland, Ohio.  He attended Cleveland Public schools, Cuyahoga Community College, Moody Bible Institute, Anderson Theological Seminary and the University of Phoenix.  He accepted the call to the ministry at the age of sixteen and was licensed to preach in 1993 by Rev Bennie Goggans, of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church.  In 1998, Pastor John F. Twymon of the Blessed Hope Baptist Church ordained him in the preaching ministry.  It was in that year he was called to pastor The New Damascus Missionary Baptist Church.

Ministry has been a very important part of his life from childhood.  He recorded his first album along with his father, The Rev. Mackalee Washburn at the age of six.  While ministering through song across this country, God revealed a higher calling on his life.  He is an accomplished musician, an anointed singer, and astonishing preacher.  Wisdom with understanding has truly embraced this young man as God continues to pour out His Spirit into his life.

Rev. Washburn has served as the chaplain of the Wm. A. Gaines Funeral Home in Cleveland, Ohio, on the executive board of the Mt Pleasant Ministerial Alliance as Financial Secretary, and one of the founder members of Safe Streets Safe Schools Initiative.  He currently serves as Pastor at The Greater White Stone Church and is President of the Pilgrims Baptist Minister Conference of Cleveland, Ohio.  He is a born-again believer, that truly believes in all of the word and living what you believe.

He looks forward to making an impact on the community through the word of God.  “The community needs the church for we are the light of the world.  Let’s be efficient and effective in our quest to do God’s business.
